Sophie and Nathan’s Texas Beach Elopement

My relationship with Sophie and Nathan all started because they needed someone local to capture their engagement photos. They had already planned to elope and as we started chatting they told me their idea of doing it on Galveston Beach - which isn’t far at all! We quickly started planning once I confirmed I was available for their day and the entire thing was a dream come true!
Studio Engagement Session
First a bit from their studio engagement session because I just love them! It was so fun to switch things up and have a couple in the studio.
Preparing the Day Before
When we first made it to Galveston, Jason and I headed out to scout for the perfect ceremony spot along with a few for portraits after. We knew we wanted a classic beach backdrop because they planned to exchange vows at sunset. We found the perfect spots and it was so nice to see where we’d be the next day to prepare.
Getting Ready for a Beach Elopement
The next morning we woke up and headed over their adorable AirBNB where they were getting ready. We had some time for a few getting ready shots and they were such sweet photos. They were both so excited for the day. Shortly after they were ready to go and we headed out the door to the beach.
Wedding Vows at Sunset on Galveston Beach
Sophie and Nathan said their vows around sunset and it was the prettiest backdrop for this special moment between them two. It was intimate, all about their love and and gorgeous against the crashing waves. Basically if you’ve ever thought of what a Texas Beach elopement would like - this was it.
To officiate the ceremony they had Luke with Officially Oaks meet us at the beach. If you are looking for an officiant, I highly recommend him! He was amazing throughout the entire planning process and the day of.
Romantic Portraits on Galveston Beach
After the two said their vows, we spent the rest of the evening listening to the waves, watching the sunset and capturing some of my favorite photos to date. I’m so glad I got to capture their sweet love on Galveston Beach!
