My relationship with Sophie and Nathan all started because they needed someone local to capture their engagement photos. They had already planned to elope and as we started chatting they told me their idea of doing it on Galveston Beach - which isn’t far at all! We quickly started planning once I confirmed I was available for their day and the entire thing was a dream come true!

It’s no secret that sessions in the mountains hold a special place in my heart. But sessions in Pikes Peak will always hold an extra special place in my heart. Not only for the sessions but because I grew up coming here with family almost every summer and it easily became one of my favorite places in the world. Now, getting to go back and capture my couples here makes everything feel like it is coming full circle.

Paige reached out when she saw I was going to be in Colorado Springs so we could capture her and John’s engagement photos. Each is so unique and lots of the time they put together combos I wouldn’t have thought to do. Some of my favorites are those who aren’t afraid to play with color. Shannon and Andrew’s Colorado Destination Wedding
When the planning began, Shannon and Andrew were originally set to have a large wedding in Fredericksburg, Texas. They were far into the process and everything had been booked and chosen for their big day until one day the decided to make it a more intimate celebration with their closest family and friends in Colorado! You all probably know by now that Colorado is one of my favorite places so it didn’t take me more than 5 seconds to get on board. And let me tell you, it was gorgeous. They had the chance to celebrate all weekend long with their guests and you could just feel the love and joy surrounding them.

Depending on your wedding style, there may be a certain attire for the groom and groomsmen that is easy to choose or you may be open to options depending on the grooms style and what they are comfortable in. After photographing 100+ weddings, I have seen my fair share of attire for the men.

Our 28 Day Road Trip
This past May I was fortunate enough to have three destination weddings and three adventure engagement sessions. Rather than flying for each one, Jason and I decided to set out on a 28 day road trip. We camped from my jeep at different national and state parks, and stayed in a few hotels across 7 states capturing love stories and landscapes.
Maddie and Peyton’s Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session
On our way back to San Antonio, Texas, Jason and I stopped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park to meet up with one of my 2021 winter couples for their engagement session. Maddie and Peyton knew they wanted a location that represented their style as a couple and Palo Duro Canyon was the perfect place to show this off! Ending our month long road trip with this fun couple was the icing on the cake to so many amazing sessions on the road!
Baylee and Daniel’s White Sands Adventure Engagement Session
A few months prior to my husband and I’s month long road trip - where we drove from Texas to New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, California, Colorado and back to Texas - I posted my travel dates and locations in hopes of booking a few more sessions along the way. We were set for a road trip across some of my favorite areas of the country and I was ready for as many adventure sessions as I could fit in during our time on the road. Baylee reached out as soon as I posted my available dates and was eager to have her & Daniel’s engagement photos taken at the White Sands National Park. It took about five seconds for me to say yes and we had a plan for their adventure engagement session!
